Important News from the Mayor’s Office Updated 6/11/2026

Due to the storms expected to move through our area tonight and into tomorrow morning, residents with Republic Services garbage collection scheduled for tomorrow are asked to wait until 6:00 a.m. to place their garbage and recycling carts at the curb.

At this time, we are unsure how the next round of storms may impact the area, and delaying cart placement will help prevent carts from being blown over, damaged, or creating hazards in the roadway.

Thank you for your cooperation, and please stay weather aware and safe.

Alsip Residents and Businesses, the storm this afternoon is very unfortunate for all of the residents and businesses within the Village Of Alsip, please do what you can to secure your home or business and keep your families safe.

The Village Of Alsip has been in contact with ComEd and they are assigning crews to address the power outage, again please remain calm, as the Public Works crews are cleaning the streets first and both the Fire and Police departments are securing hazardous areas.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
