Governor JB Pritzker joined Mayor Ryan and other elected leaders February 25th 2021 at the Alsip Village Hall to officially announce the launch of a TDL redevelopment project
As a recipient of one of 11 Rebuild Illinois Shovel Ready Capital Grants announced today, the Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation(CSEDC) will kick start improvements on the site of a former refinery to make way for a state-of-the-art transportation, distribution, and logistics (TDL) hub in Alsip.
Situated between two rail lines, this new hub is ideally located to handle rapid growth of Illinois’ transportation sector. One of several TDL projects CSEDC is fostering, this $1.5m capital investment will fuel long-term economic benefits and jobs in the area. Governor Pritzker’s historic Rebuild Illinois economic development plan continues to expand local opportunity while giving companies yet another reason to invest or expand here in Illinois.
