This past Saturday marked the 20 year anniversary of 9-11. The Village had a memorial service at Veterans Plaza, in attendance was the Alsip Fire And Police Dept, Mayor John Ryan, residents, and Pastor Dan Willis of Light House Church.
“As September 11th will always remind us that because of the service of our first responders, we are safe, but will remain vigilant, because sometimes bad things happen to us as it does to everyone else, the choice that we have before us is to either obsess over the negative incidents and watch as our life spirals out of control or try to be optimistic, remain full of hope and embrace life in all its entirety. In the end, it comes down to us and the choices we make that defines us.”
