Assistance to Firefighter’s Grant
The Alsip Fire Department is pleased to announce that FEMA has awarded the fire department a grant under the Assistance to Firefighter’s grant program. The amount of grant awarded is $24,000.
The grant will be used to purchase an adult and child simulation manikin for the department’s Emergency Medical Services training program. These manikins are the state of the art which provides feedback and evaluates the paramedic on the course of action taken during the simulation.
The manikins will not only provide training evaluating our current protocols, but will be used for all future changes and enhance the way we train all of our paramedics.
